It's a lucrative battle with as much as $6 billion a year in revenue at stake. Among the cases to be decided is another attempt by the Sleslingers to get their stack in the pot increased and a case by yet another AA Milne relative to take back control of the characters for the family.
Cartoonist Carl Barks, who drew the character Donald Duck for over three decades, died August 25, 2000, at the age of 99 at his home in south Oregon, the Walt Disney Co. said on Friday. Barks is pictured in Oslo in this 1994 file photograph.
