The stock hit its 52 week high of 36.79 in May and set its 52 week low of 26.30 in January. DIS has been losing ground for the past year. Disney Interactive Studios announced this morning that the virtual simulation and adventure game Disney Friends for Nintendo is now available in retail stores across North America.

The princess worlds are in peril and only the player can save them. Disney Princess: Enchanted Journey lets players play as their own customizable heroine princess character, selecting her name, dresses, accessories, hair, skin tone and eye color. The game can be played alone, with a friend or with family members.

Disney Interactive Studios announced today that the virtual life simulation and adventure game Disney Friends for Nintendo DSâ„¢ has shipped to stores across North America. Disney Friends is a brand new adventure simulation game that allows children to interact with their favorite characters from popular Disney films including “The Lion King,†“Winnie the Pooh,†“Lilo & Stitch,†and Disney/Pixar’s “Finding Nemo.â€

The summer fun, originating from Walt Disney World in Orlando, begins with a double-bill concert by hugely popular Hollywood Records recording artists Miley Cyrus as Hannah Montana and Hollywood Records’ recording artist Corbin Bleu ("Jump In! and "High School Musical") and features a new game challenge Saturday nights through August (8:00–10:00 p.m., ET/PT) during Disney Channel’s programming line-up. Closing Ceremonies will air SATURDAY, AUGUST 25 (8:00–9:00 p.m., ET/PT) with concerts by Hollywood Records’ artists The Cheetah, Girls, Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus.

Disney Online, part of the Walt Disney Internet Group, announced today the creation of a new team that will focus on building, operating and publishing an expansive line-up of games, virtual worlds and online social communities, Disney Online Studios. Steve Parkis, a Disney Online veteran, has been promoted to senior vice president and will lead the newly formed group, reporting to Paul Yanover, executive vice president and managing director of Disney Online.

New video games for girls, boys and families will include titles on multiple platforms based on the Disney Channel franchises High School Musical, Hannah Montana and Power Rangers. Titles such as Disney Friends, Disney Princess: Enchanted Journey and Enchanted round out the lineup.
