COLONIAL DIPLOMACY is a variant of the all-time classic DIPLOMACY game. This time it involves the colonial powers in the far east of the 1890s. The game is pretty basic, but the strategy and tactics are rich with possibilities. There are only two types of pieces, armies and navals. They can only move, support a defending unit, or support an attacking unit. The richness of the game comes from the interaction and diplomacy between the players.

Imperial, a Spiel des Jahres recommended game, is generally considered a Diplomacy variant[3]. The map is basically the same and the armies and fleets move similarly, with armies and fleets destroying each other when they fight.
