Dina Meyer (born December 22, 1968 in Queens, New York) is an American film actress. Meyer, who is of Jewish heritage, is said to have loved dancing and acting from an early age, but it wasn't until after she graduated from university that she started to work to become an actress. She attended Long Island University, where she majored in business administration. Among her hobbies and interests are snowboarding, rollerblading and biking. She currently lives in Los Angeles. Meyer's film debut was in the TV film Strapped in 1993, although her role in the cyberpunk thriller Johnny Mnemonic was perhaps her breakthrough performance.

SF&F veteran actress Dina Meyer (Starship Troopers) told SCI FI Wire that her latest TV series, Fox's Point Pleasant, is definitely another entry in television's supernatural sweepstakes. "The pleasant town of Point Pleasant, N.J., on the Jersey shore, gets turned upside down when a young, beautiful girl [Elisabeth Harnois as Christina] washes up on the shore," Meyer said in an interview. "Meanwhile, as she wakes up and starts to meet all the people around her, we find out that she's the devil's daughter."

Dina Meyer, who played Oracle on The WB's canceled Birds of Prey, bid fans a farewell on the message board of her official Web site. "I know how much you all have enjoyed the show," Meyer wrote. "I enjoyed working on it. We will all miss it. However, on a lighter note, I am looking forward to using my legs on the next project."

Born and raised in Queens, NY, Dina Meyer studied dance throughout her childhood and loved performing on the stage in dance recitals. She knew she wanted to act from an early age and was accepted into New York's High School of the Performing Arts, but her parents convinced her to follow a more traditional academic path. She majored in business administration and minored in French at Long Island University and attended the Sorbonne in Paris. After graduation, she decided to pursue acting again and studied under Ron Stetson.
