Meyer was born in Queens, New York to a father who owns an auto parts/repair shop. She has two brothers. Meyer loved dancing and acting from an early age, but it was not until after she graduated from university that she started to work to become an actress. She attended Long Island University, where she majored in business administration. Among her hobbies and interests are snowboarding, rollerblading and biking. She lives in Los Angeles.
