MINNEAPOLIS -- Digital River, Inc. (Nasdaq:DRIV), a global leader in e-commerce outsourcing, today announced it is working with Microsoft Corp. to expand Microsoft's e-commerce software distribution efforts. Specifically, through Digital River's network, Microsoft is offering digital downloads of its Plus! Digital Media Edition enhancement pack for Windows XP to more than 200 online retailers, including Best Buy, CompUSA, OfficeMax and Staples.

Digital River said it plans on investing about $20 million into its business, and an additional $10 million in capital. The Eden Prairie, Minn., said it will use the money to boost its software business and consumer electronics and games units, among others.

By working with Digital River, Sunbelt plans to expand the online marketing and sales of its CounterSpy™ software, a popular antispyware tool.
