In 2000, Grave Digger celebrated their 20th anniversary; to mark the occasion they performed at a sell-out concert at the Zeche in Bochum. Many of the band's most popular songs were played alongside other less well-known ones. There were ... a number of different supporting acts appearing with Grave Digger. This concert also marked a defining chapter in the band's history, as Uwe Lulis left a short while before the concert because of personal and business reasons. He formed a new band which he attempted to call Grave Digger, but Boltendahl instigated litigation to prevent this. Lulis finally called his new band Rebellion.

"Gold Digger," Kanye West: As the second single from West's "Late Registration," "Gold Digger" quelled any fears of West hitting a sophomore slump. The song was the closest challenger to "We Belong Together" for pure chart dominance, as it spent 10 weeks atop the Hot 100. The single gave West his second No. 1 on that chart, and, like his 2004 hit with Twista, "Slow Jamz," it features a cameo from Jamie Foxx.

The Digger movement at St George's Hill provided an ideal venue for testing Winstanleys' new social experiment. Winstanley rejected the concept of private ownership of all land, and called for a peaceful return of all public lands to the People. Some have even characterized the Surrey Diggers' as a primitive Millennium movement. Later generations have called the social experiment an early form of communism.

Digger bees display very interesting nesting and foraging behavior. Many species nest in dense aggregations, and swarms of males cruise around the nesting sites searching for emerging females. In one species, the males can detect the females in the ground before they emerge. These males dig a hole into the ground where the female will emerge and then await her arrival. Other males attempt to take over and fights ensue. The largest bee usually wins.
