The most common side effects of Diflucan are nausea, headache and abdominal pain. More serious side effects that require immediate medical attention include: allergic reaction, liver damage (pale stools, yellowing of eyes or skin, abdominal pain, fatigue or dark urine), or rash. Less serious side effects that may occur include: vomiting, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, fatigue or itching.

* Diflucan may cause dizziness. These effects may be worse if you take it with alcohol or certain medicines. Use Diflucan with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to it.
There has been one reported case of overdosage with Diflucan (fluconazole). A 42-year-old patient infected with human immunodeficiency virus developed hallucinations and exhibited paranoid behavior after reportedly ingesting 8200 mg of fluconazole. The patient was admitted to the hospital, and his condition resolved within 48 hours.

If you miss Diflucan a dose, take Diflucan as soon as remembered. If it is almost time for the next Diflucan dose, take the scheduled dose only. Do not "double-up" the Diflucan dose to catch up.
