The single was included on his self-titled debut album... released in 2003; both it and its follow-up, 2005's Modern Day Drifter, were certified platinum in the United States.
Over the last few years, multi-platinum artist Dierks Bentley has emerged as one of the hottest young stars in country music. With three critically acclaimed albums, nine chart topping hit singles including multiple back to back No. one hits, and a long list of honors including GRAMMY nominations, and the Best New Artist trophy from both the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music, he has established himself as one of the most acclaimed artists in country music today.
Dierks Bentley Tickets Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Dierks Bentley attended college in Nashville at the age of 19 as his commitment to music began to grow. Working as a researcher for TNN television, Bentley studied the history of country music while honing his sound through small gigs and self-financed demo recordings. Bentley was discovered by and signed to Capitol Records in 2003, releasing his self-titled debut effort that same year. Demand for Bentley’s brand of honest and emotional country music was both immediate and lasting, making 2003’s Dierks Bentley and 2005’s Modern Day Drifter platinum selling albums. He was nominated for CMA Male Vocalist of the Year in 2005 and has performed tours with George Strait and Kenny Chesney.
Growing up in a nonmusical family in Phoenix, AZ, country singer Dierks Bentley got his country music education on his own, listening to recordings. A love of the music inspired him to move to Nashville at the age of 19, but he quickly grew discouraged by lack of public and professional interest coming his way. It all changed when he walked into the Station Inn, a bar where the bluegrass faithful hang out. An all-night jam session recharged his batteries and he restarted pursuing gigs. He landed a job at the TNN television doing research on classic country music and by night he worked on his demos. Capitol Records heard the artist, signed him, and released his self-titled debut in 2003.
