Dido was five when she stole her first recorder. This didn't lead to prison, but rather to her entrance one year later to the Guildhall School of Music in London. A bit of a child prodigy, by the time she was 10 she played piano, violin, and the aforementioned recorder.

Dido Dido's history with music came early while growing up in London with studying at the Guildhall School of Music in London and playing numerous instruments by the time she turned 10 years of age. In her teens, Dido sang with various groups and eventually teamed up with her brother, Rollo's band Faithless. She toured with the band for 2 years in the mid-90s. Dido had ... worked as a literary agent and attended law school. Dido's musical success would eventually grow as one of her songs is used as the theme song for the WB TV show Roswell and another is featured in the film Sliding Doors and sampled on a popular rapper's LP.
