Diddl is een stripfiguur, in de vorm van een witte springmuis. Op 24 augustus 1990 werd de eerste schets van Diddl gemaakt door Thomas Goletz. Diddl was toen nog een kangoeroe. Diddl had toen wel al zijn kenmerkende reusachtige voeten en de typische tuinbroek. In latere schetsen werd Diddl een muis, die al sterk leek op de huidige Diddl. Alleen de voeten en de oren werden nog iets vergroot.

Diddl is an absolute optimist who always sees the good in everything first, and tries to infect everybody around him with his light-hearted cheerfulness. There's room for everybody in his big heart.

Diddl has many friends and relatives, a girlfriend called Diddlina along with her friend Mimihops. Mimihops' boyfriend is Pimboli who is ... Diddl's friend. Diddl dislikes the frog brothers. Together with his friends and his enemies he is residing in Cheesecakeland, where the soil, rocks and walls are made of cheese but otherwise seems very similar to planet Earth with deserts, rivers, and even a moon. Galupy is a horse and is good friends with Diddlina. Lots of merchandise depicts pictures of them together.

Diddl and Friends, Diddlina and Pimboli, have brought out some terrific stationery products in their time, but the most popular items must be the writing pads. Diddlina loves Diddl to court her and win her heart over and over again. She loves flowers, summer dresses, soft bows for her hair and romantic presents, but she has her own mind and can get really sulky. As regards cleverness, farsightedness and trustworthiness, Diddlina is far superior to Diddl.

Diddl is not just any mouse, he is a jumping mouse, and ... has very large feet. He was originally drawn to be a kangaroo until Thomas Goletz decided to change him into a mouse.
