The Unofficial Diablo II Site has posted a report on the Cendant party at ECTS including three photos of a model dressed as Andariel. They have ... posted the joint Blizzard/3Dfx press release officially announcing that Diablo II will include support for 3Dfx hardware. Here's the informative part of the release, basically excluding the company and legal statements:

Diablo II is supported by a large modding community, even though Blizzard do not actively support Diablo II mods, the 1.10 patch softcoded many aspects of the game making modding for the game to a greater extent easier. The game does not feature any official editors, but has a plethora of unofficial editors for the text files, string tables, and maps. The main hub for Diablo II modding is The Phrozen Keep which features a very active and large modding community.

This includes using any program that has "hacked" the Diablo II program and allows for illegal casting of spells, invulnerability, or "ghost" modes. Cheating ... includes using invalid spells or weapons not included with the original Diablo II game disks or otherwise released by Blizzard. This additionally includes use of any illegal "advantage" (such as duping) by maliciously exploiting the game code.

This time... Blizzard elected to create the expansion pack for Diablo II in-house. Instead of being taken on by Blizzard North, Sierra published the Hellfire expansion pack for the original Diablo. While the expansion pack offered a great storyline and some interesting new areas to play in, some of the other features were rather lacking, including multiplayer, and the expansion pack itself got a rather tepid response from gamers.

ATMA is a Single Player muling program for Diablo II (copyright Blizzard North) by Hakai_no_Tenshi. It stands for "A Tenshi Muling Application" and is designed to help you organize and categorize your Diablo II characters, mules and items. The idea behind this is to be able to read your character/item files quickly without having to open them up in the game and to be able to transfer items without the problems of previously available editors/muling programs.
