Drawing 20.6 million viewers on Sunday, “Desperate Housewives” lifted ABC into first place for the night’s ratings, according to Nielsen’s estimates. The 9 p.m. drama delivered the largest audience of the night, easily outperforming NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” which averaged 13 million viewers.

Last Monday's season finale of Desperate Housewives scored 2.29 million viewers, making it the second highest ratings of the year. The top one was the finale of Seven's Dancing with the Stars (2.33 millions). The problem?

On Sunday, the last original episode of “Desperate Housewives” was shown on ABC; on Thursday, “Grey’s Anatomy” ended its run... on ABC; and also on Thursday, the last remaining “CSI” episode was shown on CBS. All three shows rank in the top ten among viewers 18 to 49.
