Depeche Mode HP Pavilion Seating Chart Only momentarily in their early years did Depeche Mode find their craft well-matched with the tastes of the music press, yet Depeche Mode success remained a testament to the power of their music. Lyrically, Gore tended to begin subjects a shade darker than the musical content might suggest, including sado-masochism ("Master And Servant"), capitalism ("Everything Counts") and religious fetishism ("Personal Jesus'). As the 90s dawned their albums sustained to reach the UK Top 10, and they had made vital inroads on the US market.
Depeche Mode From their 10 studio albums, Depeche Mode started with a list of 100 potential songs to perform, narrowing it down to 25. Classic Depeche Mode songs will mingle with newer songs from the impressive ‘Exciter’ although they don’t yet know which ones will make the set list. "We’re actually wrestling with that decision right now," says Fletcher.

Exciter is the first album Depeche Mode has recorded since 1997's mixed-bag effort, ULTRA, and ... the first since they've crossed into dino-land. While Exciter never even comes close to the past glories of albums like Black Celebration or Music For The Masses, Exciter is a fine album from synth-pop's premier gloom-and-doomers.
Formed in 1981, Depeche Mode - Dave Gahan, Andy 'Fletch' Fletcher and Martin Gore - have spent over 400 combined weeks on the UK charts and continue to win critical acclaim across the world. Their first thirteen albums (released between 1981 and 1998) all reached the UK Top Ten, as did 2005's 'Playing The Angel'.
After building a following on the London club scene, Depeche Mode debuted in 1980 with "Photographic," a track included on the Some Bizarre Album label compilation. After signing to Mute Records, they issued "Dreaming of Me" in early 1981; while neither the single nor its follow-up, "New Life," caused much of a stir, their third effort, "Just Can't Get Enough," became a Top Ten U.K. hit, and their 1981 debut LP, Speak and Spell, was ... a success. Just as Depeche Mode appeared poised for a major commercial breakthrough, however, principal songwriter Clarke abruptly exited to form Yazoo with singer Alison Moyet, leaving the group's future in grave doubt.

In spite of its success on the American tour circuit, where they were selling out arenas, Depeche Mode didn’t have another U.S. hit until “Personal Jesus” (#28, 1990), its first gold single. Violator(#7, 1990), the album that single introduced, yielded the group’s first Top 10 single, “Enjoy the Silence” (#8, 1990). Songs of Faith and Devotion (1993) was heralded by critics as a bold foray into warmer musical textures and more spiritual imagery. It ... entered the American pop album chart at #1, boding well for Depeche Mode’s future on both sides of the Atlantic.
