Dennis Miller is like a right-wing version of Bill Maher. Both call themselves libertarians despite the fact that they both advocate some very unlibertarian beliefs-the different being that Maher often shills for the Democrats while Miller often shills for the Republicans.

Dennis Miller received his Doctorate in Music Composition from Columbia University in 1981. Since that time, he has been on the Music faculty of Northeastern University in Boston where he heads the music technology program. He is ... on the faculty of the Multimedia Studies program. Dennis was the founder and served as director of the League-ISCM in Boston from 1982-1988. His works have been performed on concerts and festivals throughout the world, and his music appears on Opus One Records and the Frog Peak Collaborative CD, among others. [A]fter only a week on the air, "Dennis Miller" has already put down firm roots in cable-news dullsville. The show, which airs each weeknight at 9, has been quickly sucked into the cable vacuum where talking hotheads interrupt one another endlessly and where political figures such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Rudy Giuliani get soft interviews. Miller winds up being even less captivating than Bill Maher, whose HBO show has some semblance of a spark.
