Coming from the west side of Atlanta, Dem Franchize Boyz hit the scene hard with their breakout summer single "White Tees." After working independently, building a rep and putting out their own independent albums, the group was picked up by Universal/Motown, who released their self-titled first LP in the fall of 2004. Not quite as hyper as many of their ATLien peers, they blend the South's trademark crunk sound with mellower funk backdrops.

Dem Franchize Boyz (DFB) has released five independent street albums and mixtapes, creating a local following. Their first major release, “White Tee” from the DFB album made number 79 in the US Hot 100 in 2003, but their following two releases “I think they like me” (number 15 in the US Hot 100) and “Lean Wit it, Rock Wit it”) (number 7 in the US Hot 100). Both these tracks went to number 1 in the US R&B/Hip Hop and US Rap Charts.

Atlanta-based rap quartet Dem Franchize Boyz will release their second album for Virgin Records and third overall, Da Point Of No Return, on March 25th. The first single from the new album is "Talkin' Out Da Side of Ya Neck!"

Hot off the success of "I Think They Like Me (Remix)," Dem Franchize Boyz are all set to release their second album. Parlae, who produced two tracks on the group's debut album, is confident that Dem Franchize Boyz' skills far exceed that of an urban fashion trend. "We're what's happening," he says. "I want people to see we can stand up with anyone."
