When she was 7, Delta Goodrem appeared in an American commercial for Galoob Toys. Not long after, she was the face of “Nesquik” for four years. Attempting the screen world, she made guest appearances in the successful Australian shows “Hey Dad” (1993) and “Police Rescue” (1995).

In 2002, Delta landed a role on the Australian television institution Neighbours, a show that started on air just a few months after Delta was born. Playing the shy singing schoolgirl Nina Tucker, Delta got to debut Born To Try on the show. Though she's always getting into trouble for singing on the set, Delta says, "Neighbours has been fantastic."

Delta Goodrem was born on 9 November 1984 in Sydney, New South Wales to parents Denis and Lea Goodrem. She has a younger brother named Trent. Goodrem, who showed a strong interest in music and performing from a very young age, attended The Hills Grammar School, though due to its curriculum placing strong emphasis on sport (Goodrem taking part in netball, running and swimming), music was primarily kept separate.[5] At the age of seven, she appeared in an American commercial for the Galoob toy company, starring alongside fellow Australian Bec Cartwright[6] and began playing piano at ten years of age while taking up singing, dancing and acting lessons. She appeared in numerous commercials for companies such as Optus and Nesquik, and had several minor roles in episodes of successful Australian television shows including Hey Dad...!, A Country Practice and Police Rescue.

Delta Goodrem was born in Sydney, Australia on November 9, 1984. She knew at a very young age that she was destined to perform, and told her parents, Denis and Lea, that she wanted to act when she was only 7. They wasted no time, and enrolled her in a drama school, and her career took off from there. When her parents saw that she was serious about her chosen profession, they offered to take her to auditions, and young Delta was happy to oblige.
