built 654 days ago
Actress Debbie Reynolds, noting the lack of a movie museum in Hollywood, has chosen to fill that gaping tourism gap by creating one in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, 2,500 miles east. The Hollywood Motion Picture Museum will open in the famous Smoky Mountains mecca at Belle Island Village in Spring 2005. The museum will feature Reynolds' personal collection of movie props, costumes and memorabilia, much bought at studio auctions over the years and worth more than $50 million dollars. Her son, Todd Fisher, is the museum designer.
