Daxter

Daxter was a "human" from Sandover Village, and a friend of Jak. In the beginning of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak and Daxter are making their way to Misty Island, the one place Samos told them not to go. They arrive on the island just in time to witness a large gathering of Lurkers being commanded by two twisted people. Jak and Daxter, worried by what they have seen, are on their way off the island when they are confronted by a pool of Dark Eco. While Daxter inspects the pool, Jak locates a small Red Eco barrel. When they go to leave... a Lurker Commander attacks them. Jak throws the caustic barrel at the lurker and kills it, but the explosion throws Daxter into the Dark Eco pit.

Daxter is an interquel, taking place between Jak and Daxter and Jak II. At the start of Jak II, Jak is kidnapped and Daxter vows to rescue him. Two years pass in an instant, and the game cuts to Jak being rescued. Daxter shows exactly how Daxter rescued Jak, by taking a job as an exterminator to destroy mysterious new bugs (the metal heads from Jak II) and eventually tracking down Jak. Turns out he forgot about Jak and wasted all of the two years until the week or so right before rescuing Jak that the game takes place in.

At first, Daxter has much of the same feel as Jak II, occupying a familiar part of that game's world. For fans of robust platformers and the Jak franchise, Daxter offers plenty of entertainment on the PSP. The only real concern is for casual gamers. Daxter's difficulty is comparable to that of Jak II. There are plenty of easy and straightforward platforming sequences, and the game typically provides convenient continue points, but occasional long sections requiring precise timing. Those parts of the game need to be executed straight-through and perfectly, such as a sequence of train surfing and zip lines, or several of the game's final moments.

Jak and Daxter have had many adventures together, but Sony’s latest entry in the series, DAXTER for the PSP, sends the tiny Daxter off on his own. With amazing graphics, excellent sound and music, solid Jak and Daxter gameplay, and a ton of fun, DAXTER pr

The game takes place in the final months of the two-year gap presented in Jak II, between the moment when Jak is taken prisoner by the Krimzon Guard and the time in which Daxter finally rescues him. The introduction shows Jak being captured, while Daxter manages to escape. Almost two years later (having no luck of rescuing Jak), Daxter is in a bar, bragging to the patrons about his so-called adventures. Of course, this leaves very little impression on his audience, except for an old man named Osmo, head of the Kritter Ridder Extermination Company, who sees Daxter's potential and offers him a job as an exterminator. Daxter at first refuses the job but the old man mishears Daxter and accidentally imposes the job on him, at which point the game begins. Including Osmo, Daxter meets many characters that give him objectives and jobs to complete.

Daxter can jump up, crawl to get into small spaces, double jump, and swat all the bugs with his electric flyswatter. The game will give you new weapons, new attack methods, and even a bug sprayer that you can use to help you kill multiple bugs at the same time. You even get the chance to hover and sort of fly over certain areas by using your bug sprayer as a sort of jet pack, but in only works in short distances. If you find an open flame in the game you can use the bug sprayer and turn it into an instant flame thrower. Sweet! With all of these cool moves and attacks you will find it fun because of the variety of things involved.
