David Spade Biography David Spade (born July 22, 1964 in Birmingham, Michigan) is an American actor, comedian and producer. Spade is the youngest of Wayne Spade and Judy Todd's three sons. He grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona and is the brother of Andy Spade, CEO of Kate Spade and brother-in-law of the famed designer Kate Spade.

Spade was born in Michigan, but moved to Arizona at age 4 where he soon became known as the joker of his elementary school. Throughout his childhood, Spade loved to watch stand-up comedians and sketch comedy shows like Saturday Night Live. Spade decided to pursue his dream of becoming a stand-up comic and dropped out of a local community college to work at a skateboard shop and perform stand-up in local clubs in his spare time.
Diminutive, blond, and bushy-haired comic David Spade has found success as a professional smart ass. Born in Birmingham, MI, but raised in Scottsdale, AZ, Spade first made a name for himself as a standup comedian. He spent most of the '80s performing in clubs, theaters, and college campuses. He joined the cast of Lorne Michael's long-running television show Saturday Night Live in 1990 as a writer and a performer. On the show, he soon gained popularity for such recurring sketches such as "The Hollywood Minute" in which Spade would sarcastically shred some of Tinseltown's biggest stars with his nasty comments. Spade ... proved an able impersonator of celebrities ranging from Jeff Foxworthy to Tom Petty. Spade has appeared on many television talk shows and guest starred on several series.

David Spade was last seen starring in Paramount’s DICKIE ROBERTS: FORMER CHILD STAR, which he co-wrote with Fred Wolf. Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison production company produced the film, which enjoyed a #1 opening weekend slot at the box office. In it David Spade plays a struggling actor who hasn’t seen the light of fame since puberty. He fixates on a movie role that will bring his career back to life, but in order to get it, he has to re-live his childhood. He proceeds to rent a family in order to learn how to be a normal kid. DICKIE ROBERTS has the same smart, dry comedy as all of David Spade’s movies, but ... has an incredible heartwarming effect as you watch him grow with and learn from his “rented” brother and sister.
