David Keith (born May 8, 1954 in Knoxville, Tennessee, United States) is a Golden Globe-nominated American actor and director. Keith had an early supporting role in the prison film Brubaker and later co-starred with Richard Gere in An Officer and a Gentleman. Keith ... played a local thug in The Great Santini, starred in The Lords of Discipline and White of the Eye, and held a prominent supporting role in U-571 opposite Matthew McConaughey. He played opposite child-star Drew Barrymore in the 1984 hit Firestarter and Brooke Shields in 1992's Running Wild. Keith played Elvis Presley in the 1988 film Heartbreak Hotel. He directed The Curse and The Further Adventures of Tennessee Buck (in which he also starred).

From All Movie Guide: A graduate of the University of Tennessee, David Keith made his first significant theatrical appearance in Chicago. Keith was to star in the 1979 sitcom Co-Ed Fever, but it was pulled from the CBS lineup after one episode. Luckily, his more enduring movie career ... began in 1979 with a small role in The Rose. Keith quickly became a specialist in portraying all-American boy roles who were cursed with a fatal character flaw or two, as witnessed in An Officer and a Gentleman (1982). Keith's performance as a suicidal officer-in-training earned him two Golden Globe nominations. Retaining his military buzz-cut from Officer, Keith had his first above-the-title starring role in 1983's The Lords of Discipline.

David Keith of David Keith and Associates got his start at VR Business Brokers in Salt Lake City. VR was a national franchise. The company broke off from the franchisor and named itself Business Resource Center or BRC. David Keith was the largest seller of businesses as an indiviual agent for Business Resource Center. He received Broker of the Year from BRC in 1998. Mr. Keith broke away from Business Resource Center in 1999 to start David Keith and Associates.
