David Blaine is an idiot. While its great that he can stay under water, or go on a hunger strike for 44 days, what is the point? Ghandi went on a hunger strike for a purpose, Blaine is just hype trying to make money. What hope/inspiration has he ever given to anybody
For this most recent challenge David Blaine perched himself upon a free standing pillar, 22 inches in diameter for 35 hours. He went without food and water for the duration of the challenge and even urinated via a catheter. As if this was not challenge enough, David Blaine then made his dismount from the pillar by jumping into cardboard boxes. The jump was aired live on ABC.

David Blaine in an Evening Standard article that reported, "Unusual weather and relentless disturbances have taken their toll - with the heat making him lose salt and feel unstable. Urine tests over the weekend appeared to show Blaine is not cheating by taking supplements with his water." David Blaine [O]ff, you all know that David Blaine did not hold his breath for nine minutes. He did not hold his breath for 8 minutes 58 seconds, either. He does... have a doctor named "Dr. Krack" and somehow convinced the world that living in a bowl of water — fully able to breathe mind you — leads one to be able to hold his breath.

Blaine's last mesmerizing challenge was successfully completing a 44-day fast in an acrylic box suspended over the Thames River in London in the fall of 2003, surviving only on water. However American viewers have been following his exploits for years on ABC Television.
blaine.jpg As reported on last week by VIP Glamour, Blaine entered a tank of water, for no reason really, apart from trying to top record on holding ones breath under water. His attempt may have cost him his life!
