At 6.50am on Wednesday, David Blaine looked cold, bored and miserable. By lunchtime he was flexing his legs and grimacing. In the early afternoon, rumours swept the internet that he had fallen and died. But when darkness began to fall over midtown Manhattan he was still there.

David Blaine's plastic case was shot with a balloon full of pink paint on Friday at 3am. An Associated Press article reported "A 28-year-old man from London was charged with criminal damage after he fired several balloons filled with pink paint at Blaine's box from a nearby upper floor window, hitting his target at least once, police said."(9/29)

Blaine performed the Balducci Levitation on one of his TV specials. This effect was first published in 1974 by Ed Balducci (hence the name) but even he admitted to being taught it many years before by his cousin!
