Dave has been a featured performer at the Philadelphia Folk Festival, Falcon Ridge Folk and Winterhawk Bluegrass festivals, all of Bethlehem's Musikfests, and has toured Mexico and Germany, as well. He has even played the White House lawn. He continues to perform at folk clubs, schools, festivals, preschools and elder-care facilities, and delights in sharing live and lively music.

Carla Bruni - that not-so-discreet object of desire of French President Nicolas Sarkozy - has taken the place of Annie Lennox in former Eurythmics star Dave Stewart's professional life. Bruni and Stewart have been working on love songs in French. No word on whether a certain government official may have inspired her. On Tuesday, Prime Minister Francois Fillon pooh-poohed reports that Sarkozy and Bruni got married last Thursday - asserting that Sarkozy was too busy meeting Spanish diplomats to wed an Italian supermodel. Meanwhile, Italian millionaire Maurizio Remmert is claiming he is her biological father. Breaking his 40-year silence, Remmert told London's Mail on Sunday that Carla was the result of a secret six-year affair he had with her mother, Marisa, during her marriage to tire tycoon Alberto Bruni Tedeschi.

This is ... where Dave met his wife Carol and they were married just days after his graduation from OU in 1983. Dave's first television job was in Corpus Christi in late 1983, followed by a period as Chief Meteorologist at a station in Victoria, Texas from 1984-1986. Dave was contacted and offered a job at KFDA-TV in late 1986 and immediately joined the team here. He has been the Chief Meteorologist at NewsChannel10 since 1987.

The first Wendy's Restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, opened by Dave Thomas in 1969, was closed on March 2, 2007.[4] The signs were removed from the building the morning after its last day in operation. Reasons cited for this closing included a lack of foot traffic by potential customers, the closure of museums within proximity of the restaurant, cost-prohibitive renovations that would have been needed, and the lack of an adequate parking lot in front of the facility.[5] Additionally, there have been several large closures of Wendy's franchise groups in the last few years; most noticeably the closure of its Australian operations and the bankruptcy of the WenAmerica franchise group and closure of its fifty locations in the Midwest region of the US.

Dave was born in Wichita, Kansas - the heart of tornado alley - andformed an interest in weather at a very young age. After spending his early childhood in central Oklahoma and developing a fascination with thunderstorms and tornadoes, his family moved to the Texas coast for his middle and high school years.
