Now, after countless production restarts due to casting problems, script rewrites, and briefly being attached to direct an adaptation of Alan Moore’s graphic novel Watchmen, Aronofsky has made a new movie: The Fountain. It is the thousand-year story of two souls seeking to find love, starring Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz. This is Aronofsky’s first movie featuring Hollywood big names, and though suffered more than its fair share of issues during production, based on the previews and advance coverage, the film looks to be Aronofsky’s best yet. It premieres on October 13th.
