Dale Earnhardt: Racing
built 139 days ago
The Lord sends His flock a sign One day when Dale was three years old he ventured into the forest looking to kill some bears. After wandering for three hours and slaying three bears, he wandered into a dark and mysterious cave. Inside the cave little Dale saw a vision where three figures shrouded in light came to him. They introduced themselves as George W. Bush, St. Peter and Richard Petty.

In 1997, Earnhardt appeared as a special guest with his close friends, the country duo Brooks and Dunn, in the video for Brooks and Dunn's hit song, Honky Tonk Truth. The video was a play on Earnhardt's resemblance to Kix Brooks, with the two switching roles throughout the video.
"If the outboard lap belt had remained intact throughout the crash, Mr. Earnhardt's head would still likely have experienced similar inertial forces and similar contact forces with the steering wheel. As such, the restraint failure does not appear to have played a role in Mr. Earnhardt's fatal injury." [1]
Dale finally won the Daytona 500 in 1998, taking the checkered flag under caution in his 20th running of that race. Every crew member in the series congratulated Dale on the win, and he dug a celebratory "3" in the infield grass with his car's burnouts.

Governor Jeb Bush's March 29, 2001 law... known as the Earnhardt Family Protection Act, changed Florida's previously long standing and historically open public records laws from that day onward. The law deemed Florida's medical examination autopsy photographs, video and audio recordings exempt from public inspection without the expressed permission from applicable next of kin.
