The first Latina VJ, Daisy ... became the first crossover VJ to work on both MTV US and MTV Latino. She later became host of House of Style and One on One with Michael Jordan (among others), on the original MTV and Latin MTV. She also counted down the Top 20 videos on American MTV, and the Top 20 videos for MTV Latino.

While at MTV, Fuentes ... held a recurring role one the ABC daytime drama, Loving. Her additional television credits include appearances on Dream On, Cybill and The Larry Sanders Show. Daisy has appeared on multiple covers of the Spanish language version of Cosmopolitan, Vandidades, and Harper's Bazaar. She has also had covers for Maxim, Shape, Fitness and Latina. Like Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer and Halle Berry, she held a worldwide multi-year contract to represent Revlon's cosmetic lines.
It's been a busy month for Cuban-born TV personality Daisy Fuentes. The former MTV veejay recently hosted the Hispanic Heritage Awards at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., served as a presenter at the Latin Grammy Awards in Miami and appeared in a sexy cover spread for Stuff magazine, all while charging along with her own series – the fashion, travel and design series Styleworld, airing on the Women's Entertainment network.
