The most surprising aspect of Cypress Hill is its striking uniqueness, when lyrically, it appears as if B-Real and Sen Dog spew the usual gangster rhetoric that went stale not long after the album's release. But that's just skimming the surface.
A[M]ong the Westside Radio visitors, was Cypress Hill, which is ironic considering the beef they have with Ice Cube. Well anyway, Cypress Hill rolled through and blew up the spot. They had so much fun and did such a good job, they asked if they could return and do another show. The only thing was on this visit they wanted to feature Westside Radio in their new video. Hence a special edition of Westside Radio aired this past Wednesday. It was definitely a show among shows.

Ruffhouse/Columbia recording artists Cypress Hill are ready to release Skull & Bones, the group's first full-length studio album since the worldwide million-selling IV. Skull & Bones is scheduled for a release in April 2000. This past December, the group issued Los Grandes Éxitos En Español, a project their fans have been asking after for years. Los Grandes Éxitos En Español showcases 13 classic Cypress tracks recut with Spanish vocals and one new song featuring Fermin IV Caballero of Control Machete (who are major hardcore rap stars in Mexico and Latin America).
Instead of capitalizing on their regained hip-hop credibility, Cypress Hill slowly fell apart. Sen Dog left in early 1996 and Muggs spent most of the year working on his solo album. Muggs Presents the Soul Assassins was released to overwhelmingly positive reviews in early 1997, leaving Cypress Hill s future in much doubt until the release of IV in 1998. Sen Dog had come back for the record. He had left because he felt he did not get enough mic time, but after a few years with a rock band he was more than happy to return. Two years later, the group released the double-disc set Skull & Bones which featured a disc of hip-hop and a disc of their more rock inspired material.
B-Real at the 2006 Bonnaroo Music Festival. Aside from Cypress Hill, B-Real has been involved in several other musical projects. In 2002, he teamed up with Mellow Man Ace and Son Doobie for the short-lived Serial Rhyme Killas, which released one 12" single in 2002[3]. The group recorded a full-length debut album, entitled Deluxe Rapture, but it was never released. He was ... previously a member of the group The Psycho Realm[4]. B Real also was a part of the Space Jam soundtrack, contributing to the song "Hit 'Em High (The Monstar's Anthem)."
Homer gets grungy when he becomes a sideshow performer at Hullabalooza, an alternative rock festival that features Sonic Youth, Smashing Pumpkins, Cypress Hill and, uh, Peter Frampton. Homer's performance consists of using his enormous gut as a target for cannonballs, which makes him a huge hit with the pierced and tattooed Hullabalooza crowd. It ... gains him the respect of his kids, who finally think that their dad is cool. When a doctor tells Homer that he is causing permanent damage to his internal organs, Homer must decide between his newfound acclaim as a sideshow freak or long-term health. Luckily for all, Homer chooses the latter, and leaves the life-threatening stunt to someone else.
