The usual dosage of Cyclobenzaprine is 10 mg three times a day, with a range of 20 to 40 mg a day in divided doses. Dosage should not exceed 60 mg a day. Use of Cyclobenzaprine for periods longer than two or three weeks is not recommended.

At oral doses of up to 10 times the human dose, Cyclobenzaprine did not adversely affect the reproductive performance or fertility of male or female rats. Cyclobenzaprine did not demonstrate mutagenic activity in the male mouse at dose levels of up to 20 times the human dose.

Cyclobenzaprine may be taken with or without food.Cyclobenzaprine should be used only for short periods (no more than 3 weeks). Since the type of injury that Cyclobenzaprine treats should improve in a few weeks, there is no reason to use it for a longer period.Cyclobenzaprine may cause dry mouth. Sucking a hard candy, chewing gum, or melting ice chips in your mouth can provide temporary relief.--If you miss a dose...Take it as soon as you remember, if it is within an hour or so of your scheduled time. If you do not remember until later, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule.

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. However, if it is almost time for the next Cyclobenzaprine dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.
