Cyber's final ability is an unusual psionic ability that allows him to track specific brain wave patterns across great distances. The exact limit of Cyber's range is unknown; ... it was greatly amplified after his over-exposure to the hallucinogens that coat his claws. Cyber has recently claimed he can track brain wave patterns from any location on earth, and was even able to allow his consciousness to leave his body entirely. It was this ability that allowed Cyber to survive in astral form for years following the attack by the Dark Riders.

At the event the results from a recent survey conducted by the National Cyber Security Alliance will be announced. The study found that identity theft is top of mind for the residents of Tallahassee with 85 percent concerned about becoming a victim. This is not surprising since 22 percent of Tallahassee residents said they either know of someone, or they themselves were a victim of cyber crime last year -- 5 percent of the national average (17 percent). Moreover, a national survey conducted by the National Cyber Security Alliance, released earlier this month, found that 78 percent of Americans lack core protections to keep their computers, information and families safe from cyber criminals.

The first recorded cyber crime took place in the year 1820! That is not surprising considering the fact that the abacus, which is thought to be the earliest form of a computer, has been around since 3500 B.C. in India, Japan and China. The era of modern computers... began with the analytical engine of Charles Babbage.

Prior to 2000, cybercriminals acting alone committed the majority of cybercrimes, usually in an attempt to attain notoriety within the cyber world. However, in recent years, a shift has occurred as criminals and not just amateurs are committing cybercrimes. This is due in large part to the potentially huge financial gains that can be made from the Internet with relatively little risk. The report goes on to examine the different tactics and tools used by these cybercriminals, and future areas of attack.
