In Cubase 4, there are 30 new audio and MIDI plug-ins, including a voice-doubler called Cloner (pictured), which simulates the effect of double-tracking by creating up to four "cloned" signals from the original input source. Cloned signals have variable delay and detune controls.

Cubase 4 adds four new virtual instruments: HALion One, Prologue, Spector and Mystic. HALion One is a special player version of HALion and comes with hundreds of ready-to-use instruments.
