Mobile CRM technology is gaining traction, often in tandem with hosted implementation. According to Yankee Group, 40 percent of mobile CRM users are interested in this approach, and the number jumps to 70 percent if you add the "somewhat interested" category. Two companies to watch: Salesforce.com, whose acquisition of Sendia provides instant experience embedding in a mobile architecture, and Entellium, which has the benefit of a fresh start, in contrast to companies that "just shoved their CRM into the device."
