Formed in Great Yarmouth East Anglia in 1974 and known as Cosmic Love and then Teezer, The Crabs were vocalist/guitarist Tony Diggines, guitarist Ronnie Rocker, drummer Ricci Titcombe and bassist William Kimbling. They supported the likes of X-Ray Spex,The Lurkers, Sham 69, The Jam & Siouxsie & The Banshees and many others and regularly played famous punk venues venues like The Roxy & Vortex. Also known as The Fulham Furies for a side project. After The Crabs members became the backing band for Gary Holton and played with Max Splodge. During the eighties Ronnie Rocker played with The Angelic Upstarts and The Godfathers.

Crabs are parasites. Crabs are often referred to as pubic lice and are not to be confused with body lice. The scientific name for crabs is Pediculus pubis. Crabs need blood to survive, but they can live up to 24 hours off a human body. Crabs have three very distinct phases; egg, nit (egg or young louse), and adult louse. The louse is the stage of the parasite that causes itching.

Crabs have an excellent sense of smell. An average crab can smell a rather vile crotch from three miles away, and a rather clean crotch only one mile away. Crabs are abundant all along the Jersey coast, from the Hackensack River to Delaware Bay. The best places to catch crabs are in tidal creeks, rivers and shallow bays. One of the most popular methods is to use baited lines or traps from the bank or a boat. Most common baits are bunker and chicken necks, but any fresh fish remains will work well. A very inexpensive bait line can be made by tying a 6 oz. sinker and a large (8/0) hook to 15 or 20 feet of cord connected to a small stick for securing and storing the line. A long handled net is needed to scoop up the crabs which are brought to the surface clinging to the bait.

Crabs can ... spread from muff diving. Crabs can infest one's mustache or other forms of facial hair, and continue their journey from there. In fact, Freddie Mercury had this very problem...but in his case it was more likely due to salami sucking. Crabs are also excellent jumpers, being able to move from one crotch to the next during foreplay, during sexual intercourse, during sexual discourse, and even during heavy petting. It's a lot like when pirates board an enemy's boat swinging on ropes.
