Costco: Sales
built 607 days ago
Costco's private label, Kirkland, manufactures everything from food to apparel. Kirkland products made up 16% of sales for 2006 and sales are expected to make up almost 25% over the next few years. If Kirkland continues to perform well for the next few years, Costco will most likely invest those gains back into pricing.

MissHell Customer Service Associate The lovely MissHell, from Brooklyn NY, will be joining the Costco staff for the first time. She had so much fun last year hanging out in the bar that she just knew Costco was the camp for her in 2003. An utter hellraiser at one time, she has decided to repent for her former life in organized crime by recently taking a vow of poverty as a social worker. When she is not salvaging what is left from the garden that is regularly attacked by rats and peed on by alleycats, MissHell enjoys running amok with a group of local miscreants.

Programmer Jared Ko said he and his friends walk the 10 minutes to Costco several times each month for lunch and to try the free food samples inside the warehouse. A few tables away, MaryAlison Castleberry of Newcastle crunched her way through a Caesar salad. The transplant from England said Costco's the only place she's ever felt compelled to order a hot dog. Now she visits the food court nearly every time she's in the area.
This knack for seeing things in a new way ... explains Costco's approach to retaining employees as well as shoppers. Besides paying considerably more than competitors, for example, Costco contributes generously to its workers' 401(k) plans, starting with 3 percent of salary the second year and rising to 9 percent after 25 years.
The guitar listed on the Costco website is a single guitar that was signed by Conor Oberst after an acoustic performance in New York on September 16th, 2005. Due to an internal mistake at First Act the guitar was put up for sale on the Costco website.
