Cornwall benefits from a near Mediterranean climate and with high summer temperatures and mild winters the holiday season extends throughout the year.

Cornwall is renowned for it's beaches and with over 140 beaches to choose from, you are sure to find one you like ! On a more modern note, contemporary musician Richard D James (... known as Aphex Twin) grew up in Cornwall, as did Luke Vibert (of Wagon Christ and Plug fame) and Alex Parks winner of Fame Academy 2003. Roger Taylor, the drummer from the band Queen was also raised in the county, and currently lives not too far from Falmouth. The American Singer/Songwriter Tori Amos now resides predominantly in North Cornwall not far from Bude with her family. [66]

Cornwall, Ontario – DIRTcar had their annual banquet in Syracuse during the weekend of November 10-11. Promoters took this opportunity to sit down and talk about the calendar for the 2008 edition of the Lucas Oil Canadian DIRT Challenge. It was a great meeting because the dates were settle and a new track will join the family for next season.more
