Constantine: Life
built 645 days ago
For Constantine and his contemporaries, there are no surviving full-length biographies or histories in the traditional sense. However, this absence is more than compensated for by the sheer number of alternate sources available.[3] Indeed, the sources for Constantine's reign rival those of any other period in antiquity in both their quantity and quality.[4] The fullest source on Constantine's life is the Eusebius' Vita Constantini, a work that is not a biography, but an admixture of eulogy and hagiography. Written some time in the four years between 335 and its author's death,[5] the work focuses on the religious and moral character of Constantine's life.[6] The fullest secular biography on Constantine is the anonymous Origo Constantini.[7] A work of uncertain date,[8] the Origo focuses on the military and political events of Constantine's reign, giving little mention to cultural or religious matters.[9]

Constantine wants to alter the wording in Florida law so that anyone who tries to save a life with an AED will not have to worry about a lawsuit later. Senate Bill 564, advocated by the American Heart Association, is intended to make schools, businesses and other institutions feel more comfortable about deploying AEDs. His bill would revoke a provision of Florida law that now requires a person to have first obtained “appropriate training” before using an AED.

The story of seeing the ‘cross’ in the sky was reported personally by Constantine to *Eusebius of Caesarea well after the event; so Eusebius tells? This fanciful story only appeared after the death of Constantine in Eusebius’ book, ‘Life of Constantine’ and not in any of the many others by this author before that time. Eusebius belonged to the heretical Arian sect and at times took on both sides of the story depending on the advantages or disadvantages of doing so.
