Conseco was integrated in 1979. During 1982 the firm got into the business of insurance and attained the tag of a public company in 1985. Again in 2002 the enterprise entered into the Chapter 11 reorganization. However in 2003 Conseco once more emerged on the scene. In 1998 the firm went into an acquisition and acquired the former Greentree Financial. The Greentree Financial occupied the position of the foremost financiers of mobile homes.
