In October 2004, Conseco Fieldhouse hosted the 2004 FINA Short Course World Swimming Championships. A 25 meter 300,000 gallon competition pool and 175,000 gallon warm-up pool were temporarily installed. A total of 71,659 tickets were sold for the four day event. The crowd on the evening of Saturday, October 11th, 2004 set a record for the largest attendance at a U.S. Swimming event outside of the Olympics with 11,488 people.

The Best Seats in the House Rated If you are a hardcore basketball fan you want to be as close to the court as you can. The best seats in the house are in the lower level, courtside, of Conseco Fieldhouse. These would be sections 4-6, and 17-15. Section 6 is in behind of the visitors bench and section 4 is behind the Pacers bench. Section 5 is behind the media table. If you really want to experience the game of basketball this is the only place to sit. Courtside seats are give access to “The Best Locker Room” (See General Information).

Katie Gearlds will face a hostile crowd at Conseco Fieldhouse for the first time when the former Purdue standout returns to Indiana with the Seattle Storm on Wednesday.
