Concrete Finish

Cement masons/Concrete finishers: Their main job is to install and finish concrete. This might involve different things. They might make beams, plates, or columns of concrete; or make decorative finishes like colorization. Some masons perform the entire procedure from beginning to end on their own. Before applying concrete masons must first attach and line up the forms that hold the concrete. They then direct the workers to shovel or pour the concrete smoothly and correctly.
Plyform Finish Form provides a superior concrete finish, leaving your surface smooth, clean, and consistent. It's high durability of scuff and abrasion resistance is excellent in strength. This increases panel reuse in concrete forming. For exterior use: Panels resist severe weather conditions. Finish Form is edge sealed to prevent moisture from penetrating. It is Ideal for exposed or Architectural concrete, yet cost effective for clad structural concrete.

Cement and Concrete Information - Cement Concrete & Aggregates Australia (CCAA) Concrete floor finishes have come a long way in recent years with the development of new techniques and treatments. Modern finishes include liquid polishes, latex coatings, chemical sealers, grinding to expose the aggregates, colours, stains and the use of special aggregates to achieve ‘rock’ or ‘marble’ appearances.

ARDEX CD Concrete Dressing is a surface treatment for re-dressing worn, spalled, indoor or outdoor concrete surfaces to provide a "new concrete" finish. ARDEX CD is easy to apply, hardens quickly, is freeze-thaw resistant, and produces a surface finish which is suitable for foot and rubber tire traffic.
Concrete forming metal pins made from steel that has been rolled to its final form at a temperature at which it is no longer plastic giving the pins a dense, smooth, surface finish and high tensile strength. See hot-rolled solid steel form pins.

As more and more building owners begin to embrace the architectural possibilities of concrete, achieving a high-end concrete finish has become a top priority on many job sites. Such is the case on a mixed-use student housing project currently under construction on the University of Pennsylvania campus, where the exposed concrete on the 14-story structure demanded an impeccable finishing job. Although “architectural concrete” or “fair-faced concrete” have been coined as the accepted verbiage to describe such a pristine finish, there is still some discussion about the best way to achieve it. In general, most concur that success is tied to three main variables: a proper formwork system, the right concrete formula and the care that is taken when pouring the concrete and stripping the forms.
