Michael Doran of Newsarama is reporting that Marvel Comics has named artist/writer Joe Quesada, editor of Marvel Comics' successful Marvel Knights line of books, Editor-In-Chief, a position that gives him responsibility for Marvel's entire comic-book lineup. Quesada replaces Bob Harras.

Frank Miller's creative career began in the US comic-book industry in the late 1970s, where he came to prominence drawing and/or writing comics properties such as Spider-Man, Wolverine, Daredevil, and Elektra. Miller then created Ronin, a science-fiction samurai drama. Ronin is currently in development at Warner Bros. as a feature film.

Reflecting the times, Bronze Age comics began to address more modern themes. Although classic comic book heroes continued to be popular, new heroes such as Conan the Barbarian and stories such as Star Wars changed the rules and ushered in the modern age.

The most common forms of printed comics are comic strips (most commonly four panels long) in newspapers and magazines, and longer comic stories in comic books, graphic novels and comic albums. In the first two forms the comics are secondary material usually confined to the entertainment sections, while the latter consist either entirely or primarily of comics.
