Comedy Central: New York
built 188 days ago
The Comedy Central logo used until 2000. Since 2003, Comedy Central has created a tradition of "roasting" comedians in tradition of the New York Friars Club roasts. During these roasts friends of the roastee, along with comedians, take turns making fun of the roastee, the other roasters and occasionally audience members. So far, the roastees have included Drew Carey, Jerry Stiller, Rob Reiner, Hugh Hefner, Chevy Chase, Denis Leary, Jeff Foxworthy[6], Pamela Anderson[7], William Shatner[8], and Flavor Flav.[9]
Sep 27, 2004 | The folks at Comedy Central were annoyed when Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly kept referring to "The Daily Show" audience as "stoned slackers." So they did a little research. And guess whose audience is more educated?

Comedy Central has been in the habit lately of creating online games for some of their shows. The newest member of this quickly growing clan of games is Reno 911 Paintball. Done in a mock FPS style, Reno 911 Paintball pits you against the Reno 911 deputies in a paintball battle/flag capture game. This free webgame will not work on Macs and PC users will need to have the latest version of Shockwave installed for the game to work properly. more

"Reel Comedy" is COMEDY CENTRAL's series of specials that provide a unique, in-depth look at the hottest new comedic films. Each half-hour special contains COMEDY CENTRAL's own original concept and story, interviews with the stars, and clips from the featured film. Past specials have included the casts of "Wedding Crashers," "Bewitched," "40 Year-Old Virgin" and "Dukes of Hazzard."
Among the new animated series in development is Golden Age from Augenblick Studios, whose animation has appeared in Comedy Central's Shorties Watching Shorties and MTV2's Wonder Showzen. Each episode of Golden Age reveals what happened to retired cartoon characters such Jerome the gumdrop from the “Let's Go Out to the Lobby" film strips that played before movies in the 70s.
