NEW YORK, Dec. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Everyone knows that COMEDY CENTRAL is the only place to find the best stand-up comedy out there and the network flaunts its reputation this January! Every Sunday night, watch a different stand-up special premiere from comics Chris Rock, Katt Williams, Lewis Black and Dane Cook. Also an all-new 12th season of "COMEDY CENTRAL Presents" begins this month on Friday nights at 10:00 p.m. and a second episode premieres at 10:30 p.m. All month long, viewers can vote for their favorite comedian as part of the annual "COMEDY CENTRAL Stand-Up Showdown," with the viewers' choice crowned on Sunday, January 27.

"COMEDY CENTRAL Presents" provides one of the few remaining showcases for top stand-up talent. This season was filmed at New York City's historic Hudson Theatre and features today's hottest comics performing a half-hour of stand-up with a special set design to reflect each comedian's material and personality. Past seasons include performances from Mario Cantone, Mitch Hedberg, Lewis Black, Darrell Hammond, Maria Bamford, Kevin Nealon, Dane Cook and Wanda Sykes.

That's right kids, Stephen is going to record a follow-up to his often repeated 2000 episode of Comedy Central Presents. It will be recorded on Thursday, August 23rd in New York City and should air some time in early 2008.
