Users of automatic keurig Coffee Makers do not bother with cleaning their machine as it comes with pre-programmed cleaning and descaling cycles. However, the conventional domestic manual keurig machines need to be cleaned in order to prevent oily deposits that may spoil the taste of keurig and to keep the machine in good working order. For such machines, clean the milk want thoroughly with a damp cloth after every episode of keurig making. Release some steam to expel any milk left and clean the nozzle holes. If not using the machine for a while, it is recommended to empty the grounds from the filter basket and rinse the basket with some water from the group head. Wipe it with a damp cloth.

Water is placed in the part without a spout, and coffee in the special filter that fits in this part. When a bit of steam comes out of the spout, turn off the heat and turn the coffeemaker upside down. The hot water will slowly drip down to the part with the spout. Remove the top part that holds the coffee, and serve.
