(Nasdaq: DDRX), a leading roaster and retailer of gourmet coffee in Southern California, announces that its premium roast coffee will be served at Marie Callender's restaurants throughout the United States. The agreement, which went into effect in February, provides for Diedrich Coffee to be the exclusive supplier of regular and decaffeinated coffee for the company-owned stores of the 141-location restaurant chain, which is based in Aliso Viejo, Calif.

IRVINE, Calif., April 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Diedrich Coffee, Inc. (Nasdaq: DDRX) today announced operating results for its third fiscal quarter of 2006, which ended March 8, 2006. For the quarter, the Company reported a net loss of $1,684,000, or $0.32 per share, compared to a profit of $15,601,000, or $2.99 per share, for the third quarter of the prior fiscal year.

The company said that its Gloria Jean's franchise system and the franchisee-owned Diedrich Coffee stores are not directly affected by the sale transaction or other strategic changes.
