The selection of scholars will be made by The Citadel and will involve assessment of character, need and promise in addition to academics. McCormick Scholarships will be awarded to two recipients from each class beginning in the 2005 academic year. The scholarships will include $5,000 per year for a maximum of four years, assuming the cadets remain in good standing. Each subsequent year, two additional incoming cadets will receive scholarships.

WebCit puts a web-based, AJAX-enabled front end on Citadel, allowing users to access (and privileged users to administrate) the system from any web browser. It ... allows GroupDAV and Webcal (DAV) clients to connect. WebCit is installed in addition to a working Citadel server; it will not run by itself and it will not run over a non-Citadel server. In almost all cases you will want to run both services (although you can run them on different hosts if you want to).

Because of a reporter's error, a chart in Monday's Business Review incorrectly reported tuuition costs at The Citadel. The figures publijshed included costs of room, board and other additional expenses. Tuition at The Citadel this year is $5,900 for South Carolina residents and $14,518 for nonresidents.
