built 647 days ago
Northwestern University Note: The policies and procedures outlined on these pages pertain to circulation units at the following libraries: Main, Science and Engineering, Music, Schaffner, Geology, and Math. Other Northwestern libraries, including United, Law, and Galter Health Sciences are separate library units and have their own policies. Please check their web sites for more information.
Books should be returned to the Circulation desk and placed on the counter below the "Return Items" sign. When Carrier Library is closed, return books via the outside depository located near the end of the building to the left of the glass entrance.

The library's automated circulation system provides up-to-the-minute circulation status reports in the Library Catalog. The catalog will report, for example, that an item is "Checked out" (and due on a certain date), "At bindery," "Being held for a patron," "Billed as lost," "Missing," and so on. If you have questions regarding a circulation status report in the Library Catalog, ask for help at the Circulation Desk.
