In most cases, the Chupacabra is a bipedal creature roughly four to five feet tall. Most reports describe this fascinating creature as a cross between a “Grey” alien hybrid and a small erect bipedal dinosaur. The creature’s humanoid appearance comes mostly from the size and shape of the head and eyes. The long oval-shaped head houses large alien-like red, or in some case black eyes. The creature is ... said to have some vampire-like qualities, having four large fang-like teeth that aid it during its attacks. In most cases, this cryptid has two small arms with a three-fingered clawed hand, two strong hind reptilian-like legs.

The most common description of Chupacabra is a lizard-like being, appearing to have leathery or scaly greenish-gray skin and sharp spines or quills running down its back. This form stands approximately 3 to 4 feet (1 to 1.2 m) high, and stands and hops in a similar fashion to a kangaroo. In at least one sighting, the creature hopped 20 feet (6 m). This variety is said to have a dog or panther-like nose and face, a forked tongue protruding from it, large fangs, and to hiss and screech when alarmed, as well as leave a sulfuric stench behind. When it screeches, some reports note that the chupacabra's eyes glow an unusual red, then give the witnesses nausea. For some witnesses, it was seen with bat-like wings.

A bipedal creature (one that stands upright like a human), the Chupacabra has had many sightings where its height was reported to be anywhere from 3 and 6 feet tall. Some say it walks, some say it flies, and some say it has a kangaroo hop.

Recent information about Chupacabra came from California, Texas, Miami and Baja California. The beast was spotted many times in Mexico as well. One of the first attacks of Chupacabra was registered in Tucson, Arizona, where the beast attacked Billy Nubian's two goats. The man described the beast as a huge rat-like creature that let out a shriek when detected and ran away.

Chupacabra or not, the discovery has spawned a local and international craze. Canion has started selling T-shirts that read: "2007, The Summer of the Chupacabra, Cuero, Texas," accompanied by a caricature of the creature. The $5 shirts have gone all over the world, including Japan, Australia and Brunei. Schaar ... said he has one.

People say that one can the smell of sulfur when Chupacabra appears. Eyewitness Madelyne Tolentino said: “The beast was jumping like a kangaroo, and it smelled of sulfur.” In some occurences the creature demonstrated its supernatural strength. People said that once it pulled down heavy metal gate of 16 to 14 feet in size to get to the shed where animals stood. It was supposed that the smell accompanying the beast was in fact the instrument making animals motionless so that Chupacabra could suck their blood.
