The standard engine on most 2008 Chrysler Sebring models is a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder World Engine rated at 173 hp and 166 lb.-ft. of torque; EPA fuel economy estimates are 21 mpg city/30 mpg highway. The Touring models offer a larger 2.7-liter V-6 engine rated at 186 hp and 192 lb.-ft. of torque. This Flexible Fuel engine can operate effectively on any blend of gasoline and fuel-grade ethanol up to E85. EPA fuel economy estimates for the Flex Fuel engine are 19 mpg city/27 mpg highway.

The Chrysler Sebring is generating two-way communication with consumers through People magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" issue. In a promotion called "Your Sexiest Men" now in progress, consumers can go to http://www.people.com/yoursexyman and submit a head shot photo of their sexiest man. Visitors to the Web site can vote for their favorite photo. The winner will receive a three-day, two-night trip for two to St. Tropez, France. The contest ends Nov. 29. Also, the head shots will be arranged to create a photo mosaic in the shape of the Chrysler Sebring. The photo mosaic will appear in People magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" issue of Nov. 27.

The 2007 Chrysler Sebring (Cirrus, in Mexico) is now out; Allpar’s “0h20” got every detail right...months in advance. The Sebring combines a Crossfire-like design with class-leading features. The top engine pushes out 232 hp through a six-speed automatic that has a special kickdown gear and a high first gear for quick take-offs. The 2006 model weighed about 3,200 pounds; the 2007 Sebring starts at 3,287 pounds with a larger interior, smaller trunk, and more power (except in the 2.7 V6).

The interior of the 2007 Chrysler Sebring can be detailed in either cloth or leather with a selection of walnut accenting the data display on the Limited. With adjustment to eight levels, the driver's seat delivers a high level of both comfort and flexibility with storage in the covered armrests and dual cupholders to both the front and rear. In addition to the expected combo audio package, Sebring owners may opt for a GPS unit mounted in the dash and SIRIUS Satellite Radio. The five-occupant Sebring packs 94 cubic feet into the cabin with 16 cubic feet in the trunk. Rear seating is achieved by a seat that splits and folds according to the 60/40 arrangement and provides access to the trunk area for the positioning of longer items.
