Chrysler Concorde: Chrysler Concorde Lxi
built 198 days ago
Chrysler Concorde lxi For 1998, Chrysler Concorde redesigned its well-known front-wheel-drive full-size sedan. Having been redesigned inside and out, Concorde bore a close resemblance to the Dodge Intrepid. The wheelbase remained the same at 113 inches ... the front drive chassis has been extremely modified. The already roomy interior extended with another 7.5 inches. For a quicker pace as one drives his Concorde LXi, aluminum for its rear suspension as well as the hood has been utilized. Chrysler Concorde LXi adopted a single-cam 225-horsepower 3.2 liter V6 engine.
Sharing its platform with the Dodge Intrepid and Chrysler 300M, the Concorde is available in three trim levels: base LX, plush LXi and top-of-the-line Limited. The LX has most of the features folks want, such as air conditioning, tilt wheel, cruise control, power everything (including driver seat), keyless entry and a capable stereo with cassette. Opt for the LXi and you get automatic headlamps, alloy wheels, leather seating and steering wheel-mounted audio controls. Buyers who go whole hog and get the Limited will enjoy an analog clock, power-folding mirrors, electroluminescent gauges and 17-inch wheels.
All Chrysler Concorde trims spell not just mere performance but efficient performance. Effective ground breaking, agile ability to surpass winding and rough roads, impressive handling, and smooth pleasurable ride are most possible with Chrysler Concorde LXi. True enough, this trim lives up to every expectation from all of Chrysler vehicles.
It started out as a 1999 Chrysler Concorde LXi, which was presumably minding its own business. But the guys at DiMora Designs, part of a larger coachworks company, lured the the four-door, front-wheel-drive, five-passenger family sedan into their machinists's lair and had their way with it. The result is the JX Coupe, a two-passenger, El Camino-like glossmobile with a covered bed and a 260-hp, 3.2 liter V6 built by ATK. They fused the rear passenger doors permanently to the body and chopped the factory roof so the rear glass assembly would fit. But don't bother asking the price. The company's only built this one as a show car. But if you ask nicely and wave your checkbook over your head in an attempt at semafore, maybe they'll build one just for you.
