While Christy Romano was discovering how to stand up, The Academy gave a standing ovation to these movies and actors: 'Amadeus'- Directed by Milos Forman won the Best Movie Academy Award in 1984. Also this year, the Academy Award for Best Actor went to F. Murray Abraham for his role in 'Amadeus' and the Best Actress Award went to Sally Fields for her role in 'Places in the Heart'.

In 1997, Romano made her Broadway debut in the musical, Parade by Alfred Uhry and Jason Robert Brown in the role of Mary Phagan. In 2002, Romano became the first person to act in three Disney Channel projects simultaneously, complementing her work at Even Stevens with a starring role in a movie named Cadet Kelly (alongside Hilary Duff) and voice acting as Kim Possible. She is ... the voice of Yuffie Kisaragi in the English version of the movie Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, as well as in the Disney/Square Enix game Kingdom Hearts. On February 17, 2004 Romano began a 31 week run of playing Belle in Disney's Beauty and the Beast on Broadway where she replaced Megan McGinnis as Belle. For her Beauty run, she recorded a New York radio commercial in which she asked, "What's the sitch?" (from Kim Possible).

On hearing McNamara was interested in filming a movie in Connecticut, the Anthony and Sharon Romano got started on the groundwork. They had an agenda ready for McNamara when he arrived: a tour of scenic Milford; a tour of Yale University and its law school, a potential setting for the film; a party in Hartford hosted by Milford State Rep. James Amann, the state's Speaker of the House, attended by other Connecticut film industry professionals; and a boat ride along the Milford shoreline.

She just wrapped a guest star role in MTV’s original series “Kaya” and is now filming “Cutting Edge 3” where she is reviving her role as Jackie Dorsey, returning as a reputable coach with the right moves.
